Every night I lie awake;
I look at you, and I think,
I love you 'cause you're an angel to me
or so you used to be.
Where has our love gone?
Have we been together too long?
I will love you no matter what,
but sometimes you're a pain in the butt.
You hurt me and make me cry,
and half the time I don't know why.
Why all the pain and the fights?
It just doesn't seem right.
Let's go back to the way we used to be.
It would mean a lot to me.
I know things will never be the same,
and no one is to blame.
I guess I'll just live with the pain
and wish for a happy day again.
